CCTV surveillance system

CCTV surveillance system Authorities from many countries must have very low prices to install so many video cameras in the street. It's very new phenomenon but it's on in each town I know: London, Budapest, Lyon, Annecy, Grenoble, Nîmes (except in the center of Chambéry -73, to small?)... Those cameras are hidden like lamps, as you can see on the photos (take a look at the 3rd and 4th: designers tried to hide them in the World Heritage Sites of the UNESCO in Budapest and Lyon). Because of that, most of the citizens do not notice those cameras. Maybe some of them think that the camera are installed just to fight against terrorism. I'm not sure about that. And that's why I am working about it. Thanks to artistic actions, I tried to express my fear of this system and to create a debat between people.

First actions, in Budapest, oct. 2005 - There are so much video cameras in Budapest's center that I could localize only 5 zones in the north of the 7th disctrict where you can not be seen by them. Helped by Raynald Cany, I painted on the floor these 5 "Zone of no video surveillance" that I found. I also draw a first map.
