20,75 (metres for the width of one road in town) against 1,31 (for the only one pavement)

The 3e impérial invited me for an artistic residency in Granby, little town 100 km far from Montreal.

Granby is a typical North American town: its structure is build for cars. To be a pedestrian is not an easy thing: pavement disappears sometimes, public transport is rare, to cross the street is often dangerous, small shops are just a few in the centre because bigger others are in the outskirts... It gives me many subjects to react!

"I take my time"

I hold boards to invit the drivers to stop and seat (2 yellow chairs in that matter) to discuss with me the large place given to cars: "let's speak about society", "how to cross?", "do you hear?", "do you came for good quality of air?"... Other boards -for those I got a lot of good reactions- describes what I am doing thanks to the slow rhythm of the walk: "I observ the lanscape", "I take my time"...

"I observ the landscape"

At the end of the residency, under a beautiful sunshine, we organized an outside installation to meet the public around the actions I've made, with tasty drinks and a life piano concert...

"How to cross?"

"Where's the pavement?"
